Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm in New York is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in investment banking. This role requires expertise in asset classes and the ability to write test plans while ensuring application integrity. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience and excellent communication skills to work effectively with teams. Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with various software tools is essential. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience as Business Systems Analyst in Investment Banking.
• Experience in OTC & Securities, Front Office, to Back Office, to Risks, to Accounting processes.
• Very good understanding of Asset management Middle-office & Back-office functions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Must Have

• Must Have's: Banking domain must
• Asset classes knowledge like Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives & Foreign exchange
• Merger and acquisition, equity capital and debt capital markets (experience in any of these investment banking areas)
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience as Business Systems Analyst on Investment Banking domain, OTC & Securities, Front Office to Back Office to Risks to Accounting processes
• Experience in Investment banking - Merger and acquisition, Equity capital markets and Debt Capital Markets will be an advantage
• Have very good understanding on Asset management Middle-office & Back-office functions
• Experience in Asset classes like Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives & Foreign exchange
• Understanding of system and business requirements and able to document them with proven experience
• Preparation of Specifications, Design Testing and Release documents as per customer
• Should have hands on experience in SQL Queries
• Experience in creating user process documentation
• Provide solutions when encountering problems/issues or initiate taskforce with relevant actors to propose solutions
• Ensure deliveries are within the agreed timelines and efforts
• Excellent written & verbal and communication skills
• Experience in integration with inhouse/custom applications
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve the desired result
• Proven track record of working and delivering with high performance teams

Testing

• Writing test plans and test cases to ensure that enhancements made to applications meet client requirements and maintain application integrity.
• Experience with functional manual testing
• Experience reviewing technical or unit testing
• Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodology
