Job summary

Santander is seeking a Sr. Associate, Business Management in the United States (Miami area) to conduct advanced analyses and drive strategic initiatives.

This role partners with management to optimize performance, builds new metrics, and leads cross‑functional projects to deliver actionable insights. The candidate should bring 9+ years in strategy, M&A or PM, with private banking knowledge and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 9+ years experience in Strategy, M&A and/or Project Management
  • Strong knowledge of Private Banking Industry
  • Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives with internal stakeholders
  • High proficiency in financial calculations
  • Experience in project management, mergers & acquisitions, due diligence and transactions
  • Comfort using generative AI and AI-enabled tools
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional discretion
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; AI tools

Responsibilities

  • Defines and develops analytical approaches to unprecedented and complex issues.
  • Determines where measurement gaps exist and devises new metrics or reports.
  • Reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes data, and compiles reports.
  • Navigates the entire firm to complete tasks.
  • Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams to align with objectives.
  • Communicates with internal teams to stay informed on operations and protocols.
  • Leads projects of strategic importance for the function or business unit.
  • Acts as technical leader for ad-hoc reporting or project needs.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders to ensure analytical needs are met.
  • Leads projects including assigning work and monitoring quality.
  • Contributes to achieving function objectives.
  • Supports data-driven decision-making by leaders.
