American Crystal Sugar is seeking a motivated Sr. Business Applications Developer at our corporate office in Moorhead who provide product and technical ownership and lifecycle management for assigned business applications through a combination of software development, business process analysis, solution design, system integration, and application support activities. This position serves as a primary product and technical resource for assigned business processes and applications, partnering with business stakeholders, analysts, software developers, vendors, and other IT team members to deliver reliable and maintainable business solutions. The Sr. Business Applications Developer is expected to understand both the business processes and technical components that support assigned applications and is accountable for supporting, enhancing, validating, and evolving those solutions over time. This position performs hands‑on software development while also participating in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required 8+ years of progressive experience in software development, business application development, systems implementation, or related technical disciplines. Demonstrated experience developing and supporting business applications in a production environment. Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and implement technical solutions. Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting application integrations. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Ability to independently prioritize work across multiple assignments and competing business needs. Preferred Experience supporting Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) business applications. Experience working with ERP, operational, manufacturing, agricultural, logistics, accounting, laboratory, or enterprise business systems. Experience with cloud platforms and modern integration technologies. Experience participating in Agile project delivery methodologies.
Work Environment. The individual must be able to work in an environment with interruptions, office noise, and competing and changing demands. The individual must be able to work extended days as workload requires.
The individual must be able to, throughout the day, input and access information from the computer system, perform keyboarding functions, type and use the phone system. The individual must be able to climb stairs, bend, kneel and lift 25 pounds.
