Zusammenfassung

Healthfirst is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead Provider Data Operations, focusing on data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. You will guide junior analysts, coordinate workflows, and develop project plans to ensure operational effectiveness and timely delivery.

The role involves partnering with IT and business units, conducting ad hoc analyses, and maintaining accurate reporting to support decision making and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role.
  • Experience with in-depth data querying and manipulation of data for root-causing, trending and summarization.
  • Experience with MS Excel functions including large data sets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical requirements clearly to staff.

  • Identify defects and improve departmental performance by supporting quality, operation efficiency, and production goals.
  • Communicate departmentally and interdepartmentally to recommend and request new concepts or modifications to workflows, systems, tools and designs.

  • Analyze and implement improvement opportunities for the department (automation, productivity, quality, deficiencies).
  • Review technical specifications to ensure business requirements are reflected in planning documents.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory, compliance, and corporate requirements.
  • Trend and compare analyses against standards; develop and maintain reporting tools.
  • Recommend changes to address deficiencies and further improve performance based on findings.
  • Responsible for testing success including results verification before management approval.
  • Provide resource planning and resolution of issues that impede testing.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve defects and ensure appropriate testing.
  • Work with department and Healthfirst units to understand and execute project concepts and approaches.
  • Assess operational impacts, workflows and training needs of projects.
  • Ensure post-implementation accuracy.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

The Senior Business Analyst- Provider Data Operations (PDO) is responsible for business process review, data analysis and reporting as it relates to activities which ensure operational effectiveness. Incumbents assist management by coordinating workflow and working directly with more junior analysts, analyzing data, creating and maintaining reporting, recommending and supporting decision making with the goal of departmental effectiveness and improvement. The Senior Business Analyst -PDO is responsible for providing guidance to other analysts in accordance with regulatory, compliance and corporate requirements and analyzing reports to direct the supervision of inventory and performance management as well as business process/Ad hoc reporting and data analysis as it relates to activities which ensure operational effectiveness. Incumbents assist management by participating in and directing analysts in creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports and data, identifying useful information, while recommending and supporting decision making. The Senior Business Analyst - PDO owns project goals by developing project plans, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, providing timely reporting, and resolving conflicts - including the documentation and prioritization of assignments.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Identify defects and improve departmental performance by supporting quality, operation efficiency, and production goals
  • Communicate departmentally and interdepartmentally to recommend and request new concepts and/or modifications to existing workflow, system set up, tools and designs
  • Learn and evaluate new information, both technical and procedural, and then disseminate verbally and in writing to the management team and end-users of varying skill levels
  • Analyze and implement improvement opportunities for the department (automation, productivity, quality, deficiencies, etc.)
  • Review technical specifications to ensure the business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with regulatory, compliance, and corporate requirements
  • Trend and compare analyses against departmental and corporate standards
  • Develop and prepare effective reporting tools and statistical reports and provide ongoing maintenance for the department
  • Recommend changes to address deficiencies and/or further improve and streamline performance based on analysis findings
  • Responsible for the overall success of applicable testing, including results verification before Management team approval
  • Provide resource planning and resolution of issues that impede the test effort
  • Work with other departments (such as IT) in resolving important defects and ensuring the appropriate level of testing
  • Work directly with appropriate members of the department and other Healthfirst business units to understand and execute project concepts, objectives, and approach
  • Assess and prepare to address the operational impacts, workflow, and training issues of assigned projects
  • Ensure post implementation accuracy
  • Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school
  • Work experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role
  • Experience with in-depth data querying and manipulation of data to assist with root-causing, trending and summarization of projects presented to various level audiences
  • Experience with MS Excel functions that include working with large data sets, creating standardized reports (across multiple spreadsheets), utilizing vLookups and advanced functions/formulas, creating, using and interpreting pivot tables, filtering and formatting
  • Experience gathering and communicating complex analytical business requirements in a simple and easy to understand manner to other staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and work with independence and initiative as well as strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as leading in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Work experience with access to confidential information and other data types
  • Experience in creating and running complex queries using SAS, SQL or other programs (i.e. Visual Basic coding, etc.)
  • Healthcare experience in an Agile work environment
Hiring Range*
  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $83,100 - $120,360
  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $73,400 - $109,225

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
