Job summary

WD is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to shape HR technology strategy and optimize Workday HCM globally.

You will translate complex HR needs into scalable Workday solutions, partner with HR and IT across functions, and lead initiatives from requirements to deployment while promoting process improvements and user adoption. You will collaborate on configuring Workday, manage security, and drive analytics-enabled HR insights, ensuring compliant, scalable HR technology programs for employees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, HR, or related field.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst/HRIS Analyst with Workday HCM Core.
  • Hands-on Workday HCM configuration (BPF, security, core modules).
  • Knowledge of Compensation, Performance & Development, Succession, Absence, Benefits.
  • Experience building Workday reports & integrations.
  • Understanding of HR systems architecture, data analytics, and cloud security.
  • Proven track record delivering HR system projects in global environments.
  • Leading HR tech projects from requirements to deployment.
  • Experience with testing, documentation, and system support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop change management plans, training resources, and facilitate user adoption of new HR technologies.

Job Description

Partner with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating business needs into scalable functional designs and technical solutions for Workday and HR technology initiatives.

Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday HCM Core modules, including business processes, condition rules, validations, notifications, approvals, security, organizations, staffing, job profiles, positions, and advanced compensation.

Advise stakeholders on Workday best practices while driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and continuous optimization aligned with compliance standards.

Lead HR system projects from requirements gathering to deployment, working with cross-functional teams for successful delivery.

Develop change management plans, create training resources, and facilitate user adoption of new HR technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR, Business Administration, or related field

Relevant experience as a Business Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or similar role supporting and configuring Workday HCM Core.

Hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM, including business process framework, security, and core modules.

Strong understanding of HCM core modules such AdvCompensation,Performance and Development,Succession Planning,Absence Management,Benefits and Journeys.

Extensive experience configuring and optimizing Workday modules, building reports, and managing integrations

Strong understanding of HR systems architecture, integration concepts, data analytics, and cloud security principles.

Proven track record delivering complex HR system projects in matrixed environments

Proven success leading HR technology projects through requirements gathering, process improvement, testing, and cross-functional collaboration in global environments while balancing compliance and regional business needs.

Experience with testing, documentation, and system support.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Thesalaryrange is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New Yorkor remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.

You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses undereither WD’s Short Term Incentive Plan (“STI Plan”) or theSales Incentive Plan (“SIP”) which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance. You may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
