Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer for the GEOINT Tradecraft Suite (GTS) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java in a cloud-enabled, secure environment.

You will own RESTful APIs, microservices, and data services, collaborate with product owners and DevSecOps, and help drive CI/CD practices and secure, reliable architectures for national security missions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance; polygraph preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including backend applications and services in Java.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Git, and modern software development practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Java and server-side technologies.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and data services for mission applications.
• Design and implement solutions using AWS services and cloud-native architectures focusing on reliability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and optimize data solutions with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch including indexing and queries.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring while supporting Agile/CI/CD.

In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend services that support mission applications, data processing, search, and integration across the GTS platform.You will work closely with software engineers, product owners, DevSecOps engineers, mission users, and program leadership to translate operational needs into reliable software solutions.
