Quantum Sky is seeking a Senior AWS Solutions Architect to design and implement Kubernetes-based cloud architectures on AWS. You will lead security-focused implementations, automate infrastructure, and guide customers through migrations and compliance processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, architecture, and collaboration with teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, Docker-based architectures with strong security and vulnerability controls.
• Knowledge of AWS services, Beanstalk, CloudFormation or OpsWorks a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AWS hosting environments on EKS supporting multi-service deployments.
• Provide architectural guidance for AWS-based solutions and cloud migrations.
• Troubleshoot deployments, reproduce issues, and build PoCs.
• Write configuration scripts for customer environments and logging.
• Support infrastructure hardening, vulnerability scanning, and remediation per cloud security best practices.
• Produce documentation for ATO packages and coordinate with compliance teams.

Quantum Sky is searching for an accomplished Sr. AWS Solutions Architect with experience in infrastructure, security and automation services. As an Solutions Architect you must have designed and implemented solutions with Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Fargate, Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), and AWS App Mesh.

The ideal candidate would have experience with EKS, Container Security and data encryption technologies on AWS as well as third-party products such as Sysdig Falco, Service Mesh, Calico and relevant technologies for enterprise grade deployments of container based solutions. This is a hands‑on engineering, implementation and consulting role with a focus on infrastructure deployment, security architecture and compliance.

We are looking for a candidate that has strong communication skills, a customer service based approach. They should have experience and familiarity with infrastructure, Virtual Private Network (VPN), cloud, virtualization, security and networking with cloud computing. This is a hands‑on implementation and architecture role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AWS-based hosting environments on EKS and meet customer requirements that span multiple AWS services.
• Support cloud migration, implementation, and modernization efforts, providing architectural guidance for AWS-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot application deployments, recreate customer issues, and build proof of concept applications.
• Write and interpret configuration scripts for customer environments to install programs, configure logging, and modify configuration files.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions depending on customer use cases.
• Support infrastructure hardening, vulnerability scanning, and remediation efforts following cloud security best practices.
• Provide technical documentation and supporting artifacts for Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages and work closely with compliance teams when supporting regulated cloud environments.
• Research, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies to improve cloud architectures, security, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop team members by sharing technical expertise, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required

• KUBERNETES
• Developed and implemented Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, Docker and containerized solution architectures with advanced engineering concepts around security, segmentation, vulnerability and image scanning, and integration with third-party tools like Sysdig Falco, Calico, Service Mesh etc.
• AWS SECURITY AND OPERATIONS
• Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
• Knowledge of AWS and Cloud Computing concepts (preferred experience with AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS CloudFormation or AWS OpsWorks)
• Understand how to management and troubleshooting on Kubernetes.
• Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (Active Directory, Exchange etc.)
• Understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
• One or more container orchestration management experience (e.g. Docker, OpenShift Kubernetes)
• Troubleshooting skills at multiple levels of complexity.

• Expertise using Terraform and Cloud Formation
• CI/CD ENABLEMENT
• Experience with one or more DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible)

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $175,000-$200,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
