Job summary

Ampcus, Inc is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer (Mid-to-Senior) to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role focuses on Kubernetes orchestration, containerization, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD automation to support modern deployments.

Responsibilities include building complex AWS architectures, managing EKS clusters, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests, plus ensuring security, performance, and cost optimization across cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and container lifecycles.
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC and in CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex AWS architectures (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront).
• Apply best practices for scalability, security, high availability and cost optimization.
• Lead migration and modernization initiatives for cloud workloads.
• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and Helm charts for deployments and packaging.
• Manage Kubernetes manifests (YAML) for deployments, services, and ingress.
• Implement RBAC, network policies, and autoscaling in Kubernetes.
• Create and maintain IaC using Terraform.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS. This role requires advanced knowledge of AWS architecture, containerization, automation, and DevOps practices to support modern application deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
  • Design and implement complex AWS architectures leveraging services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudFront.
  • Apply best practices for scalability, security, high availability, and cost optimization.
  • Lead migration and modernization initiatives for cloud workloads.
• Containerization & Orchestration
  • Build and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) for containerized workloads.
  • Develop and customize Helm charts for packaging and deploying applications on Kubernetes.
  • Manage Kubernetes manifests (YAML) for deployments, services, ingress, and other resources.

• Monitoring & Logging
  • Configure observability tools (CloudWatch) for performance monitoring.
  • Implement centralized logging and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution.
• Security & Compliance
  • Enforce AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, encryption, and network segmentation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with development teams to optimize application deployments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on cloud and Kubernetes best practices.
