Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Irvine, CA seeks a Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to lead cloud migration activities and build scalable AWS infrastructure.

The role focuses on EC2, EKS, VPC networking, IAM, and storage services, with Terraform-driven provisioning and strong emphasis on security and governance. You will work across Linux/Windows environments, integrate Oracle Exadata and SQL Server, and ensure reliable observability and automation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS EC2, EKS, VPC networking and cloud-native deployments.
• Deep understanding of migration processes including rehost/replatform strategies.
• Hands-on with Terraform modules, workspaces, and state management.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automation pipelines.
• Ability to read high-level design and low-level designs and implement infra.
• Knowledge of IAM, security best practices, tagging, and cost governance.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alarms, and dashboards in CloudWatch.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata integration on AWS and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Implement AWS infra for migration waves including compute, storage, network, IAM.
• Deploy and configure EC2, AMIs, scaling, load balancers, and networking.
• Support EKS setup including clusters, node groups, networking, and deployments.
• Build Terraform modules for repeatable infra provisioning.
• Collaborate with app teams to validate configs, env vars, scripts, and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot OS, network ACL/SG issues, and application deployments.
• Assist DB and ESB teams to validate connectivity for Oracle Exadata, SQL Server.
• Implement monitoring with CloudWatch, logging agents, alarms, and dashboards.
• Support migration cutovers with validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Prepare documentation, execution steps, validation logs, and runbooks.

Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Strong experience with AWS EC2, EKS, VPC networking, and cloud-native deployments.

• Deep understanding of AWS migration processes and rehost/replatform strategies.
• Knowledge of S3, EFS, FSx, EBS, and storage lifecycle/backup policies.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform modules, workspaces, and state management.
• Familiarity with Java/.NET apps, TIBCO ESB, and infra dependencies during migration.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) and Windows Server (2016–2025) administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, networking, and cloud infra layers.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automation pipelines.
• Ability to read HLD/LLDs and convert them into working infra builds.
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, policies, tagging, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, storage services, and load balancers.
• Experience with AWS migration tools, automation frameworks, and hybrid networking.
• Familiarity with integration to Oracle Exadata on AWS and SQL Server.

Salary Range- $110,000-$140,000 a year
