Databricks is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for IT Asset Management to drive AI-powered automation across SaaS licenses and hardware spend. You will eliminate manual toil, build scalable automations, and support IT Operations as the automation foundation matures.
You will own workflows from provisioning to asset recovery, partnering with IT, security, procurement, and finance, and you will implement AI-driven solutions that handle unstructured inputs and integrate with enterprise systems.
As a Senior Automation Engineer on the IT Asset Management team at the company, you will be the technical engine behind transforming how we manage ~$XXM/yr in asset spend across SaaS licenses and hardware. Your primary mission is to eliminate manual toil and build scalable, AI-powered automation that makes asset operations fast, accurate, and effortless as the company scales past 14,000 employees.
Your initial focus will be on IT asset management workflows: automating new hire laptop provisioning, SaaS license lifecycle management, asset data reconciliation, and hardware recovery. Over time, you will expand your automation footprint across IT Support and Operations, including IT support workflows, AV/VC and event support, and incident response management.
This role requires a strong automation-first mindset, the ability to learn new domains quickly, and comfort building with AI/LLM tools. You will report to the Senior Manager of IT Asset Management.
