Cambrex Corporation is seeking an Automation Engineer to support and maintain the plant-wide Distributed Controls System (DCS), standalone PLCs, and plant alarm system at our facility in Iowa. You will interact across manufacturing operations, QA, IT, and maintenance to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
The role requires knowledge of DCS, alarm systems, and instrument control design, with a BS Chemical Engineering preferred.

As a part of the Engineering Department, the Automation Engineer will support and maintain the plant wide Distributed Controls System (DCS), standalone PLC’s and plant alarm system. Interaction with all areas of the manufacturing plant site will be inherent to this position as well as the ability to problem solve and prioritize activities to meet project deadlines.

All employees are expected to report to work regularly and promptly. Other duties relating to departmental mission, not specifically detailed in this section may be assigned.
BS Chemical Engineering, highly preferred: other related fields will be considered with appropriate experience and knowledge.
