Job summary

Continuum Tech is seeking a seasoned MicroStrategy BI Developer to lead the multi-year reporting transformation journey and deliver end-to-end BI solutions. You will work with business users to define requirements, build schemas and dashboards, and drive best practices across projects.

The role requires 6+ years in MicroStrategy, strong SQL and data modeling skills, and hands-on experience with the MicroStrategy Suite.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in MicroStrategy schema development and related objects.
• Deep experience with BI/DW development and lifecycle.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on MicroStrategy Suite including Architect, Developer, Web, Mobile, Desktop.
• Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, SAS).
• Experience in financial services domain is a plus.
• Able to work in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year legacy reporting transformation journeys and align with BI best practices.
• Interact with stakeholders to define reporting/BI solutions for complex needs.
• Develop MicroStrategy schemas, dashboards, documents, and mobile apps end-to-end.
• Plan and implement feature upgrades for MicroStrategy tools.
• Promote governance and best practices for self-service BI and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Governance on upgrades and impact analysis.
• Ensure timely delivery of development deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the multi-year legacy reporting transformational journey; and gain alignment with reporting and business intelligence best practices defined in the Future State Data Architecture, while maintaining support for current state
• Interact with business stakeholders to understand and recommend reporting/BI solutions that meet diverse, complex business reporting and analytic needs
• Work on full lifecycle MicroStrategy development including schema/modeling, dashboards/documents/reports + mobile application development skills
• Define/develop implementation strategy for newly released features of MicroStrategy tool and/or MicroStrategy version upgrades
• Recommend, implement and adhere to industry-wide BI best practices and drive for changes to existing processes and/or procedures for the betterment of the organization
• Work with IT & Data Governance Management teams during Infrastructure and/or software upgrades and perform impact analysis
• Recommend and establish governance and control around self-service BI/Analytics considering the evolution of BI Industry's best practices
• Responsible for all the deliverables and meeting the timelines for the development activity
