As a Senior Associate (Software Verification), you will be trusted to drive software design, development, and verification activities. You will be responsible for designing, executing, reviewing, and approving software verification deliverables, with a strong focus on ensuring high‑quality, compliant solutions for patients and customers at the Goleta, CA location in the Santa Barbara area.

Typical Day

• Verification of complex software applications embedded in state‑of‑the‑art ophthalmic instruments in all phases of the software development lifecycle including planning, inputs, design, implementation, and testing.
• Review and approval of software documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
• Writing and executing manual system‑level test cases and procedures.
• Leading or participating in project teams to facilitate software test planning, verification activities, and SQA support.
• Coordinating software test activities with the software development team and other stakeholders.
• Providing support on other project activities such as training, clinical activities, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (or high school +10 years; associate +6 years; M.S. +0 years).
• Fluent in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles (Agile, iterative).
• Experience working in FDA‑ and ISO‑regulated environments for software development and verification.
• Hands‑on experience with software verification and validation practices.
• Experience testing embedded software systems.
• Proficiency with software test automation tools such as Ranorex, Selenium, Sikuli, or similar.
• Familiarity with software configuration management and change management tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams.

Pay range: $99,450.00 – $128,700.00
