Job summary

New York Life Investments is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the research and origination team focused on non-traditional asset-backed securitization. You will provide analytical support on collateral performance, cash flow analysis, and legal documentation review.

The role covers consumer finance, student loans, residential mortgages, solar, aviation, rail, transportation assets and other structured finance sectors, with collaboration across investment banks and rating

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 2+ years of Structured Finance analysis experience, specifically with Private and 144AABS.
  • Strong background in credit research.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills required.
  • Experience with cashflow modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis for asset-backed transactions is a strong plus.
  • Assertive self-starter with self-confidence and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support working on collateral performance, cash flow analysis, structural evaluation, and legal documentation review.
  • Work on adhoc portfolio performance, return and market reporting. In addition, support in the creation of term sheets as well as internal and external portfolio and marketing presentations.
  • Sectors of coverage include Consumer Finance, Student loans, Residential Mortgages, Solar, aviation, rail, and other transportation- related assets, equipment finance, fund finance, Digital Infrastructure, whole business and other specialty finance sectors.
  • Work closely with senior members of the team, Investment Banks, Private Equity funds, Issuers and rating agencies to obtain desired ratings for specified transactions as well as working closely with in-house personnel to ensure proper accounting and regulatory capital treatment.

A $300bn + asset manager is looking to add an Associate or Senior Associate to its research and origination team focused on the non-traditional asset backed securitization market. The team is focused on originating and executing private placement and 144A securitized transactions.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide analytical support working on collateral performance, cash flow analysis, structural evaluation, and legal documentation review.
  • Work on adhoc portfolio performance, return and market reporting. In addition, support in the creation of term sheets as well as internal and external portfolio and marketing presentations.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $93,000-$133,000

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Please note: This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
