Job summary

Regent is seeking a Sr. Associate, Portfolio Transformation to lead a portfolio-wide turnaround initiative.

You will design and oversee transformation programs across portfolio companies, working with senior leadership and management teams to drive profitability, cash flow, and cultural change. Ideal candidates bring 3–7 years in transformation or restructuring, a background in top-tier consulting, and a strong finance foundation in FP&A, investment banking, or private equity.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in transformation, restructuring, or performance improvement.
  • Experience at a top-tier restructuring consulting firm (e.g., AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal, PwC Deals).
  • Strong finance background with FP&A, investment banking, or private equity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Transformation Initiatives: design and execute transformation and turnaround strategies to drive profitability and growth.
  • Operational Assessment: conduct diagnostics on plant operations, supply chain, sales, and SG&A to identify improvements.
  • Financial Restructuring: analyze balance sheets, cash flow, and working capital to identify risks and actions.
  • Stakeholder Management: align Regent leadership with portfolio management for execution.
  • Project Leadership: drive cross-functional projects with KPIs, timelines, and reporting.
  • M&A Integration Support: provide operational/financial diligence on bolt-on acquisitions; assist post-merger integration.
  • Change Management: foster continuous improvement and accountability within portfolio companies.

As part of its expansion, Regent is seeking a Sr. Associate, Portfolio Transformation to support the strategic and operational turnaround of its portfolio companies.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. Associate, Portfolio Transformation to spearhead restructuring and performance improvement initiatives across Regent's investments both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operational and financial restructuring, ideally from a top‑tier consulting or advisory firm, coupled with portfolio management experience at a PE firm.

This role reports to the Chairman and will work closely with local management teams and Regent’s global leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Transformation Initiatives: Design and execute comprehensive business transformation and turnaround strategies to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
  • Operational Assessment: Conduct deep‑dive diagnostics into plant operations, supply chain, sales, and SG&A functions to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Financial Restructuring: Analyze balance sheet structures, cash flow, and working capital to identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between Regent's leadership and portfolio company management, ensuring strategic alignment and execution.
  • Project Leadership: Drive cross‑functional projects with clear KPIs, timelines, and reporting mechanisms. Ensure delivery of cost, performance, and cultural transformation targets.
  • M&A Integration Support: Provide operational and financial diligence on bolt‑on acquisitions; support post‑merger integration efforts.
  • Change Management: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the portfolio companies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • 3‑7 years of experience, with a strong background in business transformation, operational restructuring, or performance improvement.
  • Previous experience at a top‑tier restructuring consulting firm (e.g., AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal, Roland Berger Restructuring, PwC Deals/Restructuring).
  • Strong finance background, ideally with experience in FP&A, investment banking, or private equity.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to drive change in complex operational environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management.
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments.

Compensation:

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and performance. A reasonable estimate would be base salary $150,00-175,00 + bonus.
