Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate in Repair & Maintenance Engineering in Johns Creek, GA.

You will plan and implement maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment productivity, lead installation projects, and coordinate with production for safety inspections and schedules. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, strong English communication, and willingness to work onsite on first shift.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in a related field, or high school with 10+ years of experience; Associate degree with 6+ years may apply.
  • Fluent reading, writing, understanding and communicating in English.
  • 2 years of relevant maintenance/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment productivity.
  • Oversee maintenance engineering work and review mechanical and electrical specifications.
  • Assess new equipment designs for reliability and maintainability; ensure availability of spare parts.
  • Coordinate repair work and safety inspections with production staff and schedule parts supply.
  • Lead installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Manage multiple technical projects; make decisions impacting performance and innovation.
  • Follow SOPs to maintain quality, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

The Sr. Associate, Repair & Maintenance Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to enhance facility and equipment productivity. You will coordinate repair work, safety inspections, and new equipment installations, requiring advanced project management, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Take on complex tasks in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment productivity
  • Oversee maintenance engineering work and review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications
  • Assess new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts
  • Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Manage multiple technical projects, making critical decisions impacting project performance and innovation
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training
  • Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements, meeting individual job requirements and contributing to overall organizational compliance
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Location: Onsite-Johns Creek, Georgia
  • Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
