Amgen seeks a Sr. Associate Manufacturing Systems (Packaging) to lead complex packaging operations and collaborate across functions in a fast-paced biopharma environment in Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher in engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s + 6 months manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Associate’s + 2 years manufacturing experience.
• High school/GED + 4 years manufacturing experience.

SR. ASSOCIATE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS (PACKAGING)

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support complex manufacturing operations and participate on cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the execution of complex manufacturing processes and systems, developing non-routine procedures and documentation as needed to support production efficiency.
• Accurately and promptly enter data into systems such as LMES, and CMMS Maximo, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices and cGMP standards.
• Inspire team performance by connecting daily work to broader organizational goals, setting high standards, and encouraging continuous improvement.
• Actively seek and implement feedback from peers and team members to enhance line performance and develop a culture of learning and innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• Or
• Bachelor’s Degree + 6 months Manufacturing work experience
• Or
• Associate’s Degree + 2 years Manufacturing work experience
• Or
• High school/GED + 4 years Manufacturing work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Availability to support non-standard shifts, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology industry
• Expertise in Rockwell Automation PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000).
• Experience with Cognex vision systems and other machine vision technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across automation, controls, and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to support daily production operations and quickly resolve equipment downtime issues.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in highly automated industrial environments.
