Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Sr. Associate Manufacturing Systems (Packaging) to support complex manufacturing operations and cross-functional collaboration. You will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while maintaining rigorous documentation and data integrity.

The role requires strong leadership, GMP experience, and deep knowledge of manufacturing automation, with opportunities to influence performance and drive innovations across the line.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s Degree or equivalent manufacturing experience at multiple levels.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech environment is preferred.
• Experience with data systems (LMES, CMMS) and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex manufacturing processes and systems, developing non-routine procedures and documentation.
• Enter data accurately into LMES and CMMS Maximo, ensuring cGMP compliance and good documentation practices.
• Inspire team performance by aligning daily work with broader goals and promoting continuous improvement.
• Implement feedback from peers to enhance line performance and foster learning and innovation.

SR. ASSOCIATE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS (PACKAGING)

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support complex manufacturing operations and participate on cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the execution of complex manufacturing processes and systems, developing non-routine procedures and documentation as needed to support production efficiency.
• Accurately and promptly enter data into systems such as LMES, and CMMS Maximo, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices and cGMP standards.
• Inspire team performance by connecting daily work to broader organizational goals, setting high standards, and encouraging continuous improvement.
• Actively seek and implement feedback from peers and team members to enhance line performance and develop a culture of learning and innovation.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s Degree

Or

Bachelor’s Degree + 6 months Manufacturing work experience

Or

Associate’s Degree + 2 years Manufacturing work experience

Or

High school/GED + 4 years Manufacturing work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Availability to support non-standard shifts, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology industry
• Expertise in Rockwell Automation PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000).
• Experience with Cognex vision systems and other machine vision technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across automation, controls, and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to support daily production operations and quickly resolve equipment downtime issues.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in highly automated industrial environments.
