Job summary

DNOW in Tomball, TX is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, assemble equipment, and ensure components meet specifications on a busy production line.

Responsibilities include basic welding, maintaining workspace, following safety procedures, tracking inventory, and performing quality checks. We value accuracy, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read basic blueprints and diagrams.
• Minimum 2 years assembly experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills optional.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow blueprints and drawings to assemble equipment.
• Use basic hand tools (wrenches, levels, measuring tape).
• Perform basic welding.
• Maintain inventory at work stations and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct quality checks to meet standards.
• Identify defects and document issues.
• Rework or repair per engineering changes.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Basic hand tool use required (pipe wrench, end wrench, level, tape measure etc.)
• Performing basic welding
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations
• Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma and/or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in oral and written communications.
• Minimum 2 years assembly experience may be required
• Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
