At our company, we’re dedicated to supporting your career aspirations and helping you exceed your goals. You’ll benefit from industry-leading training, global development opportunities, and the chance to collaborate within a diverse culture across our offices in nine countries. Our inclusive culture reflects our purpose: to make a difference for every colleague, every client, every day.

We hope you’ll join us in driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions as we continue leading the Unified Commerce revolution.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Support and execute solution architecture for assigned product areas and cross-platform capabilities (e.g., pricing/promotions, inventory availability, order orchestration, customer/loyalty, POS integrations).
  • Apply and uphold architecture standards: layering, service boundaries, domain models, API guidelines, eventing patterns, and coding practices as established by senior architects.
  • Participate in and contribute to technical design reviews, author architecture decision records (ADRs), and support technical risk assessments for assigned features.
  • Drive modernization initiatives (cloud readiness, decomposition, re-platforming, dependency rationalization, observability).
  • Collaborate with Professional Services on reference architectures for implementations, upgrades, and complex customer integrations.
Non-Functional Excellence
  • Ensure systems meet SLAs for performance, availability, resiliency, scalability, and security.
  • Define patterns for caching, data consistency, idempotency, retries, rate limiting, and disaster recovery.
  • Champion observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and operational runbooks.
Engineering Enablement & Mentorship
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and tech leads; actively contribute to raising engineering standards within the team.
  • Partner with QA and DevOps to embed quality and automation into the delivery lifecycle (shift-left testing, CI/CD controls).
  • Contribute hands-on where needed (prototypes, spikes, performance investigations, complex fixes).
Must-Have Requirements
  • 6–10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years in an architecture or technical lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in C# / .NET — strong command of the language, async patterns, dependency injection, and writing testable, clean code.
  • Working knowledge of React — ability to review, guide, and contribute to front-end architecture decisions; familiarity with component design, hooks, and state management (Redux/Context).
  • Practical and hands-on AWS experience covering core services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures (microservices and/or modular monoliths).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level architectural designs into detailed, implementation-ready technical specifications.
  • Experience with REST API design, security (OAuth2/OIDC), versioning, and integration patterns (sync/async).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Good communication skills to articulate architecture choices to engineering peers and participate in cross-team discussions.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • API design, security, and versioning
    • Data modelling and persistence (SQL/NoSQL) and integration patterns
    • Performance engineering and troubleshooting in production systems
    • Secure coding and threat modelling fundamentals
Good to Have
  • Retail domain experience: POS, OMS, pricing/promotions, inventory, returns, loyalty, taxation.
  • Exposure to LLM integration patterns and MCP server contracts.
  • AI tool exposure.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka), CQRS patterns, and workflow/orchestration concepts.
  • Experience building platform capabilities for multi-tenant enterprise SaaS.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted engineering practices (code quality, test generation, operational insights).
Tech Stack
  • Backend: Java/.NET (as applicable), REST APIs, integration services
  • Data: SQL + caching; eventing/streaming (where applicable)
  • Cloud/DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools
  • Security: OAuth2/OIDC, secrets management, secure SDLC
  • AWS Services including RDS.
Success Measures.
  • Architecture standards adopted and measurable reduction in defects/rewrites.
  • Improved service performance/reliability and clearer operational posture (dashboards, alerts, runbooks).
  • Faster, safer delivery through reference architectures and reusable patterns.
  • Stronger alignment across product, engineering, QA, and PS on implementation-ready designs.
