Job summary

Colonial Pipeline Company is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to design, build, and operate data models, ETL pipelines, and analytics products across business units.

You will collaborate with Data Governance and Data Science to enable scalable data solutions, BI reporting, and enterprise data pipelines while applying DataOps practices and CI/CD to ensure reliable code and analytics delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of experience in data modeling/engineering/analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with CI/CD and maintainable code.
• Data visualization and storytelling skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar platforms.
• Experience with ETL tools (Alteryx or Azure Data Factory).
• Experience with data from multiple platforms (Oracle, SSIS, Azure, APIs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate business needs into metrics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve efficiency blockers to accelerate the Data Program.
• Build, deploy, and maintain data models and ETL pipelines for analytics and data science.
• Develop analytics products to drive measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate stakeholder needs into metrics and docs.
• Advise business groups on effective use of data.
• Collaborate with Data Governance on data quality rules and metrics.
• Establish software engineering best practices for analytics data products.
• Develop BI solutions and data visualizations to support business functions.
• Partner with Data Science to develop AI and advanced analytics solutions.
• Work with Data Platform to define enterprise data pipeline and curation needs.
• Embed a DataOps philosophy into day-to-day work.
• Support emergency response efforts, including training and travel.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role helps provide accurate and efficient access to data so teams can make informed decisions, identify opportunities, and solve business problems.
