Job summary

T-Mobile seeks a senior role focused on AI governance and controls assurance. You will build continuous testing to prove every AI control works, maintain an evidence store, and surface drift early so leadership can move fast with confidence.

You will collaborate with audit, risk, security, and legal teams to map controls to SOX ITGC, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001, own remediation tracking, and ensure independent evidence is produced.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related work experience or advanced degree with 3 years experience required.
• Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 4-7+ years in IT audit, controls testing, compliance assurance, or risk management in tech or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and run continuous testing proving AI controls work.
• Own evidence store — the proof that controls hold, producible instantly.
• Catch control drift as platforms/tech shift, before issues arise.
• Map AI controls to SOX ITGC, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001; keep crosswalk current.
• Support internal audit remediation tracking with named owners and due dates.
• Partner with AI Trust & Safety, Cyber, Legal, and AI Steering Committee for complete evidence.
• Maintain assurance independence by evidencing controls built by engineering.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and run the continuous testing that proves every AI control is working.
• Own the evidence store — the proof that controls hold, producible the instant anyone asks.
• Catch control drift the moment platforms or technology shift, before it becomes a problem.
• Map AI controls to SOX ITGC, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001, and keep the crosswalk current.
• Support internal audit remediation tracking — own the action log for high and critical findings, with named owners and due dates visible at all times
• Partner with AI Trust & Safety, Cyber, Legal, and the AI Steering Committee to ensure controls evidence is complete, accurate, and independently produced
• Maintain assurance independence — this role evidences the controls that engineering builds, keeping the assurance function separate from the teams it covers
• Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with SOX ITGC controls testing or IT general controls frameworks
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001 AI governance standards
• Experience producing audit evidence packages for internal or external auditors
• Knowledge of enterprise AI platforms and agent architectures
• Prior experience in an internal audit, GRC, or compliance function

• At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $92,100 - $166,100Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
