Job summary

Mirion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Analyst within the Performance Excellence Group in the United States.

The role supports enterprise-wide operational excellence initiatives alongside a cross-functional team including Operations, Sales, Service, Procurement, Engineering, Product Management, Finance and HR. The position serves as an informal leadership development pipeline and may engage on a global or corporate level, with up to 50% travel as needed to support cost productivity and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years in business analysis, financial planning & analysis, manufacturing operations, consulting, or corporate strategy.
  • Experience in financially sophisticated roles preferred (three financial statements).

Responsibilities

  • Support change management efforts by applying business excellence tools to achieve targets in growth, customer experience, cash flow and productivity.
  • Participate in an Integration Management Office for recently acquired companies.
  • Participate in the Project Management Office for transformation projects (restructures, procurement initiatives, kaizen events, product line reviews).
  • Prepare business research and financial analyses.
  • Lead or participate in workshops and develop materials for leadership.
  • Partner with leaders to develop and standardize operating mechanisms for KPI visibility and action planning.
  • Support development of leaders and lean practitioners as Mirion Business System is deployed.
  • Contribute to cost productivity programs and monitor project status across sites.

As a global leader in radiation safety, detection and measurement, Mirion Technologies is advancing radiation safety through innovative technologies and solutions.

The Performance Excellence Group Senior Analyst reports to a Performance Excellence Group Senior Manager and supports the development and execution of operational excellence initiatives across the enterprise. The Performance Excellence Group is an in-house consultancy focused on strategy and operations directly supporting the Executive Committee. Responsibilities and analysis may involve working with a variety of business work groups including Operations, Sales, Service, Procurement, Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and Human Resources. The position is an informal leadership development pipeline. This position will be asked to engage on a global and/or corporate level.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Support the company’s change management efforts by systematically applying business excellence tools throughout Mirion sites to help achieve targets in business growth, customer experience, cash flow, and productivity.
  • Participate in an Integration Management Office supporting execution of investment theses for recently acquired companies.
  • Participate in the Project Management Office for transformation business projects such as restructurings, procurement initiatives, kaizen events, product line reviews and business process assessments and optimizations.
  • Prepare business research and analysis, including financial analysis.
  • Prepare underlying materials as well as lead/participate in workshops.
  • Partner with business leaders to help develop, promote, and standardize operating mechanisms that provide key performance indicator visibility, accountability, and action planning to continually improve business performance.
  • Support the development of leaders, lean practitioners, and the general population in best-practice approaches as the Mirion Business System is developed and deployed.
  • Support our cost productivity programs to help ensure year-end productivity goals are reached. This includes working with the sites to help maintain a robust project deck and identify additional projects, prepare reporting on the status of cost productivity and the project deck, participate in monthly reviews with the sites on the status of their projects, and help identify and minimize unplanned cost “leakage”.
  • Participate in the evaluation of acquisition targets and deployment of the Mirion Business System at recently acquired companies.

Skills:

  • Knowledge, experience, or training in Lean techniques and proficiency in process auditing.
  • A continuous process improvement mindset with the ability to effectively support and help manage change.
  • Ability to coach and facilitate teams.
  • Experience and comfort working with data from a variety of sources.
  • Strong financial and statistics acumen.
  • The ability to translate data into meaningful planning information for Finance, Sales and Operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and sound decision-making abilities, with developing leadership capability.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/processes under tight concurrent deadlines.
  • A solid working knowledge of other business functions such as Logistics, Finance, Sales, Engineering, and Human Resources in addition to Manufacturing and Quality.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 50%.
  • Experience in data analytics is a plus.

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations, or science is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, financial planning & analysis, manufacturing operations, consulting and/or corporate strategy.
  • Preferred experience in financially sophisticated roles (i.e., three financial statement understanding).
