Analyst-Ops FP&A who will drive the company's financial planning processes, forecast performance, and support executive decision-making across departments. This role partners with Property Operations FP&A, prepares quarterly earnings materials and board reporting, performs market analyses, and provides strategic insights to optimize capital allocation and enterprise value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum two to four years' experience in market research and/or finance function.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a real estate position, preferably REIT experience with concentration in finance and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare enterprise-level financial planning for annual budgeting for non-mature and JV assets.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and deliver strategic insights to senior Operations leaders.
  • Provide weekly performance intelligence to drive operational excellence.
  • Create executive presentations and participate in key strategic discussions.
  • Develop market intelligence and analysis tools to support long-term growth planning.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for development, acquisitions, and redevelopment opportunities.
  • Assess market conditions and forecast opportunity areas for investment strategy.
  • Support portfolio strategy through market and industry analysis.
  • Evaluate capital improvement initiatives to optimize asset performance.
  • Prepare quarterly earnings call materials and board reporting.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis for COO and Investor Relations.
  • Monitor industry news and trends and their impact on strategy.
  • Maintain recurring KPI reporting across stakeholders.

Sr. Analyst-Ops FP&A

Driving the company's financial planning processes, delivering high-quality insights, and supporting executive-level decision-making. This role partners closely across departments to forecast performance, evaluate business opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen financial discipline throughout the organization.

Reports directly to Vice President - Property Operations FP&A

Essential Functions

  • Prepare enterprise-level financial planning for the annual budgeting process for non-mature and joint venture assets, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Prepare the monthly forecasts and deliver strategic insights and guidance to senior Operations leaders to inform decision-making and operational adjustments.
  • Provide senior management with weekly performance intelligence, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to drive operational excellence.
  • Shape executive-level communications including executive presentations and key strategic discussions.
  • Drive market intelligence efforts, including in-depth market research and the development of comprehensive analysis tools that support long-term growth planning.
  • Perform financial due diligence for new development, acquisition, and redevelopment opportunities to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Assess economic and industry indicators to evaluate market conditions, forecast future opportunity areas, and strengthen investment strategy.
  • Assist portfolio strategy through market and industry analysis that informs concentration risk, diversification, and capital allocation priorities.
  • Evaluate capital improvement initiatives and present strategic recommendations that optimize asset performance and enterprise value.
  • Prepare quarterly earnings call materials, ensuring clear, strategic communication to investors and analysts.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting for Board of Directors meetings, elevating strategic topics and performance narratives.
  • Deliver high-impact, ad-hoc analysis in support of the COO and Investor Relations to address emerging priorities and strategic questions.
  • Monitor and interpret industry news and trends, assessing implications for business strategy and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain recurring reporting for various stakeholders across the organization, as necessary. This includes but is not limited to daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting on a variety of KPI's that impact the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Must be flexible, innovative, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform duties that require considerable initiative, independent judgment, and strong communication skills. Must have the ability to manage workload, to develop efficient and effective processes that impact the entire organization, and to communicate with managers and staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to travel, when applicable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, and the Executive Team. Ability to work in conjunction with Company managers, property management teams, and associates.
  • Proficiency with MS Office especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work with different data systems to pull and manipulate data. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. Advanced experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning required.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. Limited travel required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics: or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Graduate degree is a plus.

  • $85, 579.00/yr. – $101,034.00/yr., depends on experience

Bonus Potential
