Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Software Engineer for a remote US role to develop software for jet engine and lab environments. You will interface with engineers across disciplines to build tools, install 3rd party software on client Windows devices, and address client/server, storage, and database interface needs.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree with 5+ years of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain government clearance.

REMOTE - US

Software Engineer

Software engineering position working with engineers to develop solutions for Jet Engine/Rig Testing, Calibration Laboratory, Materials Laboratory, and Structural Data Reduction Environments. Ability to interface with Engineers from Multiple Disciplines to develop software tools that meet their needs. Ability to administer, install and integrate 3rd party software to allow them to run on client imaged Windows devices. Understanding of Client Server Applications, Storage technologies and Database Interfaces is a plus.

Strong analytical problem‑solving skills, testing skills and communication skills. Ability to work closely with Engineering customers to understand business needs, perform root cause analysis, help drive the resolution of issues and manage risk, propose process improvements, provide front‑line support for severity issues. Highly motivated self‑starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.

Skills Required:

Experience with C++, Fortan ( preferred ) Perl/Shell scripting, Python, GitHub, Linux, Windows Sys Admin skills, MS Office Tools, ServiceNow, Real Time Data Acquisition Systems, Flight Test Support.

BS Degree - 5+ yrs experience

Must be US Citizen - working with US Military data.

Ability to get Government Clearance.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job‑related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,400 - $136,300.
