Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to deliver centralized financial reporting across all divisions, including corporate and entity levels. You will forecast monthly and quarterly results and provide data-driven insights to support the close and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in corporate accounting or finance, strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, and familiarity with Oracle ERM, SQL, and VBA.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, finance, mortgage or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; SQL and VBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide centralized financial reporting to PMT and PFSI.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly financial results.
• Support quarterly reporting cycle with data and analysis.
• Utilize Oracle ERM to create automated reporting.
• Analyze monthly financial statements including Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
• Assist in close process analytics and related duties.
• Demonstrate alignment with Pennymac values.

A Typical Day

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst provides centralized financial services to all divisions within Pennymac including corporate and entity level reporting. As the Analyst, you will provide advanced level reporting and forecasting of consolidated-entity financial results.

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will:

• Support recurring forecasts of monthly and quarterly financial results for PMT and PFSI
• Provide data and analysis to support the quarterly financial reporting cycle
• Utilize the corporate ERM platform to create automated reporting
• Analyze monthly financial statements; includes but not limited to Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and other cash flow related reporting
• Aid in providing analytics of monthly accounting results to support the close process
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

• BA / BS degree in Finance, Economics, and / or Accounting preferred
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate accounting, finance, mortgage or related fields
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Google Sheet skills
• Knowledge of Oracle ERM, SQL and VBA a plus

Compensation:

Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

• Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
• Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
• Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
