Job Summary

This role applies advanced analytics, statistical methods, and data science techniques to solve complex business and workforce questions. The Data Scientist will work with cross‑functional partners to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analytical approaches, uncover meaningful patterns and drivers, and develop predictive, statistical, or machine learning solutions where appropriate. The role requires strong technical capability, independent analytical judgment, and the ability to synthesize complex findings into clear insights and recommendations that influence business decisions.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business leaders and cross‑functional teams to translate complex business questions into well‑defined analytical problems, hypotheses, experiments, and measurement approaches.
  • Conduct exploratory and advanced analysis across large, complex datasets to identify patterns, relationships, trends, and key drivers of business outcomes.
  • Apply statistical methods, predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimental or quasi‑experimental approaches as appropriate to answer business questions and evaluate potential outcomes.
  • Develop statistical and mathematical solutions to complex business problems, independently determining appropriate methodologies and analytical approaches with minimal supervision.
  • Integrate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources, using SQL and other analytical tools to create reliable datasets and scalable analytical solutions.
  • Develop and evaluate predictive models and other advanced analytical solutions, testing assumptions, assessing limitations, and ensuring findings are supported by appropriate statistical rigor.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives, visualizations, and actionable recommendations for technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior business leaders.
  • Identify opportunities where advanced analytics and data science can improve decision‑making, measurement, forecasting, or understanding of business and workforce outcomes.
  • Research and apply emerging analytical methods and data science techniques where they can meaningfully improve business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, reporting teams, and business partners to move analytical work from exploration through implementation and ongoing measurement.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in data science, advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills required, including experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and modeling.
  • Experience applying statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, experimental design, predictive modeling, machine learning, or related techniques to real‑world business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to move from an ambiguous business question to a structured analytical approach and meaningful conclusion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills, including the ability to explain complex analytical findings to non‑technical audiences and translate findings into business recommendations.
  • Experience with Databricks, Power BI, and/or other modern analytics and data visualization platforms preferred.
  • Experience working with workforce, people, customer, operational, or other complex business data preferred.

Compensation

This job can be performed in Denver Campus with a Pay Range of $98,583.68 - $162,663.07Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
