Job Conditions

• Remote work is available to the right candidate.
• West coast coverage hours may be required.
• Series 6 is required at the time of application.
• Series 63 and State Insurance Licenses must be obtained within 120 days.
• This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization and Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.

Job Description Summary

As a Senior Analyst, you will act as the agent of record for the referral process in the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel. You will review applications, maintain regulatory compliance, and recommend products to clients while staying current on all regulations and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze client information to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Consult with clients to provide appropriate strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct client calls, formally recommend a product, ensuring suitability and best interest for regulatory review.
  • Complete applications and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Meet all regulatory requirements under applicable laws and firm compliance policies.
  • Manage state-specific nuances outside the standard process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, RIA sales teams, and financial advisors.
  • Assist the NAS sales team with requests such as portfolio/fund tax analysis, Morningstar illustrations, fund mapping, and cost comparisons.
  • Coordinate with sales leaders to support national RIA firms and advise those not working directly with Territory Managers.
Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Supervisor, Advisor Services, NAS.

Education

An undergraduate degree in insurance, sales, business, marketing, or related fields is preferred.

Licensing and Certification
  • Successful completion of onsite training class.
  • FINRA Series 6, Series 63, and state life license – required within 120 days of hire.
  • CFP/CFA certifications encouraged.
  • Series 65 strongly encouraged.
Experience

One to three years of relevant industry, sales, or customer service experience; prior financial services sales/customer service experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

Proven knowledge of insurance products and solid understanding of state and local laws. Demonstrated independent judgment, decision‑making, relationship building, positive outlook, time management, and organization skills. Excellent communication, professional presence, and active listening skills are required. Receptive to coaching and able to balance multiple priorities.

Work Year and Salary

No travel required. The national salary range for Senior Analyst, Advisor Services is $62,500.00–$115,500.00; the expected starting salary range is $62,500.00–$93,500.00.
