Job summary

Penn Medicine in Princeton, NJ seeks a Senior Allied Clinical Therapist to originate, plan, and administer high quality Allied Clinical Therapy to individuals and groups, including group counseling, creative arts therapy, psycho-educational and therapeutic activities.

The Senior Allied Clinical Therapist will assess patient functioning, provide senior clinical expertise, supervise interns/volunteers, and actively recruit.

Qualifications

• Master of Arts or Science is required.
• Cert Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and at least one of the listed certifications (CTRS, MT-BC, ATR/ATR-BC, BC-DMT, RDT) or NJ LPC/LCADC license.
• Licensed in New Jersey as a LPC or LCADC is required.

Summary:

• The Senior Allied Clinical Therapist will originate, plan, and administer high quality Allied Clinical Therapy to individuals and groups. Allied Clinical Therapy will include but is not limited to group counseling, creative arts therapy, psycho-educational and therapeutic activities. The Senior Allied Clinical Therapist will also assess patient functioning level and needs. The Senior Allied Clinical Therapist will provide senior level clinical expertise, feedback to the treatment team and clinical training to the department. The Senior Allied Clinical Therapist will actively recruit and supervise student interns and volunteers.

Responsibilities:

• Documents patient assessment, participation, and progress in the hospital record as per departmental policy. Develops and presents patient treatment plans at patient care meetings. Provides weekend and evening programs as scheduled. Maintains departmental records, as assigned. Provides Allied Clinical Therapy to patients based on physician referral by the following: interpreting recommendations, interviewing and observing patients, assessing their functioning level and treatment needs, developing individualized treatment plans to optimize patient's functional level, implementing and evaluating the program and providing individualized care to patients. Performs assigned professional/clinical functions under supervision of the Allied Clinical Therapies Coordinator, and/or Director of Allied Clinical Therapies.

• Cert Therapeutic Recreat Spec
• At Least One of the following Certifications:Recreation Therapy - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)Music Therapy - Music therapy board certification (MT-BC)Art Therapy - Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC)Dance/Movement Therapy – Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapy (BC-DMT)Drama Therapy – Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)Counseling - Active license in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)

Salary Range:

$55,607.14 - $88,682.88/Annually based on 40 hours per week
