XiFin, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Sr. AI Developer to design and build AI-powered solutions that enhance how software is developed, tested, and delivered across XiFin.

You will work closely with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to create intelligent tools, automate workflows, and evaluate emerging AI technologies. This hands-on role focuses on production-ready solutions, experimentation with new technologies, and tackling complex technical challenges on site in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience; Java and/or C# preferred.
• Experience building applications using LLMs, generative AI, or agentic AI workflows.
• Experience with AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or similar tools.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, regression testing, and AI system monitoring.
• Experience developing internal engineering tools or developer platforms is a plus.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, or AI knowledge management technologies is preferred.
• Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an AI Developer, you'll design and build AI-powered solutions that improve how software is developed, tested, and delivered across XiFin. You'll work closely with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to develop intelligent tools, automate engineering workflows, and evaluate emerging AI technologies that enhance developer productivity.

This is a hands-on software engineering role for someone who enjoys building production-ready solutions, experimenting with new technologies, and solving complex technical challenges.

This position will be located at our offices in San Diego, CA.

Pay Transparency

At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected annual salary range for this role is: $120,000- $165,000. depending on experience, skills, and level. Candidates may be hired as either an AI Developer or Senior AI Developer based on qualifications and demonstrated experience and geographic location.
