Responsibilities

  • Lead program management, tracking, and monitoring of external Advocacy engagements and keep organized records per Compliance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional Advocacy engagement and share learnings across Medical Affairs and partner functions.
  • Develop and maintain Advocacy content, reporting resources, and backgrounders with bios and meeting notes.
  • Support business processes for Advocacy activities including briefings, event planning, and post-meeting reports.
  • Identify process gaps and optimize workflows, aligning with Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, Marketing, and other stakeholders.

As the Senior Advocacy and Alliances Operations Specialist, you’ll oversee the operations that support the external and cross-functional work of the Advocacy and Alliances team within Screening Medical Affairs, helping ensure effective program management, workflow coordination, insight sharing, process improvement, and strategic engagement.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead program management, tracking, and monitoring of external Advocacy strategic engagements, including maintaining an inventory of key organizations, relationship owners, engagements, next steps, relationship status, and sponsorship benefits in accordance with Compliance requirements.
  • Manage internal cross-functional Advocacy engagement by identifying collaboration opportunities with key organizations, distributing advocacy learnings, grantee case studies and best practices, and supporting select cross-functional strategic planning across Medical Affairs and partner functions.
  • Develop and maintain Advocacy content and reporting resources, including MLR-approved communications, key organization backgrounders and bios, meeting notes, reports, case studies, internal updates, geographic activity tracking, annual surveys, team retreats, and the annual Advocacy Impact Report.
  • Support business processes and operations for Advocacy and Alliances activities, including pre- and post-event briefings, event planning and evaluation, post-meeting reports, role and responsibility tracking, vendor management, compliant material review, and development of slide decks, training content, FAQs, and scientific communications resources.
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, optimizing workflows, harmonizing Advocacy content across Medical Affairs, tracking material update needs, and partnering with Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Health Equity, Medical Communications, Medical Education, and other stakeholders to align shared strategic engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Strong knowledge of program management within life sciences, advocacy, or public health space.
  • Demonstrated competence using information technology, MS WORD, MS EXCEL, PCs and databases; advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and EndNote.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge of public health, advocacy, or cancer screening.
