Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to design, develop, and implement sophisticated aerospace systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and optimize hardware, software, and network components across aerospace applications.

The role is based in Redmond, WA with a hybrid schedule and reporting to the Engineering Manager. The position requires a strong systems engineering background and hands-on experience in complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 4+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Experience with DOORS.
• Advanced knowledge of the systems development lifecycle.
• Model-based systems engineering capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform numeric evaluation of product design, integration, and qualification activities for new inertial navigation products for internal R&D and customer funded programs
• Evaluate sensor & system performance – ex: reading and understanding Root Alan Variance (RAV)
• Lead trade studies and issue resolution (e.g. FMEA, RCCA) activities
• Prepare, review, approve, and present technical documentation and deliverables to internal and external customers
• Function as a technical focal with internal customers supporting new product development and communicating technical status
• Execute in a cross-functional team setting (interfacing with mechanical, electrical, software, test, etc.)
• Support system design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs) with internal and external customers
• Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development
• Create system documents development, including but not limited to system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Hardware Requirements Specification, Performance Verification Test Plan Procedure, Certification documents

In this role, you will impact the development and deployment of advanced aerospace systems that support Honeywell’s Aerospace commitment to technological excellence and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to the optimization and integration of hardware, software, and network components, ensuring robust and scalable aerospace solutions.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 4+ years’ experience in a related field

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or similar technical field
• Experience in systems guidance and navigation testing and analysis
• Experience with DOORS
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Familiarity with Department of Defense programs and processes
• Advanced knowledge of the systems development lifecycleIndividuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts

• Working knowledge of software development as an engineering discipline, including some programming skills

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$165,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
