Job summary

CFS in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Sr. Accountant – Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting to own key SEC filings and technical accounting decisions, with leadership exposure and a clear path to influence accounting policies and process improvements.

You will support monthly close, research complex accounting issues, ensure SOX compliance, and prepare 10-Q and 10-K disclosures with a strong focus on US GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting or finance experience (public accounting preferred)
• 3+ years of SEC reporting experience (10-Q/10-K)
• 3+ years applying complex accounting standards

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes
• Research and document technical accounting matters and white papers
• Ensure compliance with SEC, US GAAP, and SOX requirements
• Prepare and support 10-Q and 10-K filings and disclosures
• Develop accounting policies and implement new accounting standards
