Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Walnut Creek. This on-site role focuses on GL reconciliation, journal entries, and supporting month-end close and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 4+ years of GL experience in banking, and strong Excel/Oracle/Hyperion skills. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality and the ability to collaborate across departments.

• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years of GL experience in accounting and/or banking environment.
• Required 5 years Related Experience.
• Oracle and Hyperion knowledge desired.
• Excel proficiency is required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• A high level of independent judgment, initiative and problem solving skills, and the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and discretion are required.
• Attentive to detail, good analytical skills and team oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maintain a courteous, helpful and professional attitude on the job. Display a willingness and ability to partner and collaborate with other groups.

Pay Range: $71,000 - $95,000 annually

AIP Bonus up to 7.5%
