Senior Accountant will play an integral role in the Shared Services accounting group with a focus on sand cost forecasting, reporting, and accounting duties. The position will also assist the current team with daily and monthly responsibilities while providing analytical support to management and operations. Also, with the EAP acquisition and in anticipation of an additional sand mine in Ohio, the accountant will provide support towards the additional duties while allowing further development of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze sand forecast and modeling for Divisions
  • Sand plant cost management for West Texas, South Texas, and Ohio
    • Z&T, Treedog and Abrego, Ohio
  • Trucking cost management for Divisions
  • Support for additional activity in Ohio relating to EAP acquisition and future Ohio sand lease and mine
  • Reconciling G/L balances and costs allocated to Divisions
  • Maintain vendor relationship, communication, and invoicing reconciliation
  • Division coordination and communication of cost
  • Variance analysis of monthly and quarterly costs
  • Support day-to-day accounting functions that relate to sand purchases logistics
  • Maintain and manage current and future sand and trucking commitments
  • Lease Accounting
  • Support for future additional workloads
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, CPA is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in related business field with a minimum of 18 hours of accounting will be considered.
  • 5+ years of oil and gas industry accounting experience with a concentration in operations accounting preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge of COPAS operating agreements
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to multi-task and meet rigorous deadlines
  • Requires accuracy and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of AS400 system, MS Query, or SQL a plus
