Job summary

CF Industries in Claremore, OK is seeking a skilled accounting professional to manage daily and monthly plant production, inventory reports and cost accounting within SAP. You will reconcile general ledger balances, post monthly journal entries, assist with capital project tracking and support accounts payable and audits.

The role requires a BS in Accounting and at least 3 years in manufacturing accounting or a related field; CPA/CMA is preferred and CPA exam eligibility is expected.

Job Description:

• Complete daily and monthly plant statistical production, inventory reports, and cost accounting. Monitor daily production, shipments, and inventory, ensuring accuracy and reconciling monthly balances in SAP.
• Assist with capital project tracking, fixed asset ledger maintenance, and capital expenditure analysis. Ensure closure of capital projects and retirement of expired assets.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to sub-systems to minimize errors and losses. Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger account balances.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in SAP for accurate month-end and year-end transactions. Help prepare the annual operating budget.
• Provide support to the accounts payable process, investigate issues, and participate in audits.
• Assist with special projects, report development, quarter-end and year-end activities. Provide backup support for other administrative tasks within the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting
• 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing accounting, public accounting or audit
• CPA/CMA preferred
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
• Interested in pursuing a CPA license
