Job summary

Worley is hiring a SQS Coordinator to support the coordination and execution of Supplier Quality Surveillance activities for project procurement and vendor packages. You will work with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are met according to project needs.

The ideal candidate has strong coordination skills, experience with suppliers and inspection personnel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced EPC/project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Experience in supplier quality, inspection, QA/QC, procurement, expediting, or project coordination.
• Experience supporting EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing projects
• Working knowledge of vendor inspection processes, ITPs, quality documentation, and non-conformance processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple suppliers, inspectors, and project activities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Supplier Quality Surveillance activities for assigned projects and vendor packages.
• Review purchase orders, project specifications, ITPs, and supplier quality requirements.
• Coordinate inspection assignments, notifications, hold/witness points, and inspection schedules.
• Interface with suppliers, inspectors, third-party inspection agencies, Procurement, Engineering, Expediting, and Project Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing and inspection activities and identify potential quality or schedule concerns.
• Maintain SQS trackers, inspection status reports, vendor documentation, and quality records.
• Review inspection reports for completeness and ensure outstanding actions are followed up and closed.

Position Overview

The SQS Coordinator will support the coordination and execution of Supplier Quality Surveillance activities for project procurement and vendor packages. The position will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Project Controls, Suppliers, Quality personnel, and third-party inspectors to ensure supplier quality requirements are effectively planned, scheduled, monitored, and completed in accordance with project requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong coordination and organizational skills, experience working with suppliers and inspection personnel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced EPC/project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Supplier Quality Surveillance activities for assigned projects and vendor packages.
• Review purchase orders, project specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and supplier quality requirements.
• Coordinate inspection assignments, inspection notifications, hold/witness points, and inspection schedules.
• Interface with suppliers, inspectors, third-party inspection agencies, Procurement, Engineering, Expediting, and Project Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing and inspection activities and identify potential quality or schedule concerns.
• Maintain SQS trackers, inspection status reports, vendor documentation, and quality records.
• Review inspection reports for completeness and ensure outstanding actions are followed up and closed.
• Track non-conformances, deficiencies, punch-list items, and corrective actions through resolution.
• Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders regarding supplier inspection progress and outstanding issues.
• Escalate quality, delivery, or schedule risks that may impact project execution.
• Support supplier meetings, quality meetings, project reviews, and vendor performance evaluations.
• Ensure required supplier quality documentation is available for project turnover and closeout.
• Promote compliance with company, client, project, regulatory, and applicable industry requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier quality and inspection processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Experience in supplier quality, inspection, QA/QC, procurement, expediting, or project coordination.
• Experience supporting EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing projects
• Working knowledge of vendor inspection processes, ITPs, quality documentation, and non-conformance processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple suppliers, inspectors, and project activities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work effectively with internal project teams, suppliers, and third-party inspection organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an EPC environment.
• Experience coordinating third-party inspectors or inspection agencies.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO, or client-specific quality requirements.
• Experience with supplier manufacturing schedules and expediting activities.
• Quality or inspection-related certifications are a plus.
• Experience with ERP, supplier management, inspection, or project tracking systems.
