Job title: SQL Developer

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Overview

FTS is seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our growing IT & Data team. This role will design, develop, and optimize SQL databases and ETL processes to support reporting, analytics, and business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Build and support ETL workflows (preferably using SSIS or similar tools).
• Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
• Support reporting/BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) with clean, well-structured data.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and application developers.
• Contribute to data modeling and database design for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of SQL development experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools (SSIS).
• Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) a plus.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
