Job summary

Luza Group in Lisbon is seeking an experienced SQL Server professional to develop and maintain databases, write complex queries, and optimize performance.

You will collaborate with Dev/IT teams, participate in DevOps processes, and work in a hybrid model in Lisbon (2 days per week). Requirements include a degree in Computer Engineering or related field, 3+ years SQL Server experience, and fluency in English and Portuguese.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Management Informatics, or similar.
• At least 3 years of SQL Server experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience creating Stored Procedures/Functions.
• Ability to write advanced/complex queries and tune SQL performance.
• Knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning.
• Good English and Portuguese proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Write complex SQL queries for retrieving and processing data.
• Create and maintain Stored Procedures and SQL Functions.
• Perform database/query tuning to speed up slow queries.
• Analyze existing SQL code and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Help optimize Stored Procedures and queries used by applications.
• Work with development/IT teams when database issues affect applications.
• Potentially participate in DevOps processes, deployments, CI/CD, version control and automated releases.
• Work in a hybrid model, Lisbon office 2 days per week.

What You'll do:

• - Develop and maintain SQL Server databases

• -Perform database/query tuning — making slow queries and procedures run faster.
• -Analyze existing SQL code and identify performance bottlenecks.
• -Help optimize Stored Procedures and queries used by applications.

• -Potentially participate in DevOps processes, such as deployments, CI/CD pipelines, version control and automated database releases.

What You Are:
