Job summary

Mass Digital Health is seeking a skilled SQL Server developer to design databases, implement robust data structures, and build ETL pipelines. The role focuses on ER modeling, constraints enforcement, and secure, efficient back-end logic for applications and reporting.

You will also contribute to data warehousing and OLAP cubes. The position requires experience with SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, performance tuning, and a solid grasp of data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing relational databases and ER models.
• Strong T-SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience building data warehouses and ETL workflows.
• Proficiency with SSIS/SSRS for reports and data movement.
• Awareness of security best practices to prevent SQL injection.
• Understanding of deadlocks and strategies to avoid them.

Responsibilities

• Create Entity Relationship (ER) Diagrams to the proposed database.
• Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc.
• Maintain referential integrity, domain integrity and column integrity using constraints.
• Identify columns for Primary Keys in all tables at design time and create them.
• Create functions to provide custom functionality as per requirements.
• Be aware of blocking, deadlocking and write code to avoid those situations.
• Ensure code written with security issues such as SQL injection in mind.
• Develop reports in SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Design, develop and deploy SSIS packages.
• Identify and write best possible code in case of new deployments or when rewriting code when migrating to newer versions of SQL Server.
• Participate in discussions involving application creation, understand requirements, and provide backend functionality for applications.
• Participate in development and creation of data warehouses.
• Create cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services.
