Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Database Administrator/Developer in Colorado Springs to administer, develop, test, and demonstrate databases at client sites. You will design, implement, and maintain databases, write SQL queries, and provide performance tuning and troubleshooting support.

The role requires 3+ years of SQL coding, experience with SAFe Agile, and the ability to report on-site in Colorado Springs, with a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases for one or more teams/clients.
• Develop SQL reporting queries and troubleshoot database issues.

• Code procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc.; maintain documentation for problem resolution.

Job description

Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

• Develop SQL reporting queries.
• Troubleshoot database issues.
• Database performance tuning.
• SQL statement tuning.
• Reviewing and Implementing Database design changes.
• Coding (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study or 4 additional years’ experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years or more experience in writing and tuning SQL queries
• 3+ years or more experience in IT Delivery and/or Operations experience
• 3+ years or more of SQL coding / scripting experience
• Ability to report 3x a week (Tuesdays through Thursdays) at the client site in Colorado Springs, CO
• Fully adjudicated Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM’s overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
