Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator in the Charlotte, NC area. The role focuses on managing SQL Server environments, tuning performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data services.

The position is full-time with on-site work every Tuesday as part of a hybrid arrangement. Qualified candidates will handle end-user requests, implement data schemas, and ensure documentation and governance across production systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have hands-on experience with SQL Server environments.
• Strong skills in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with change management and production releases.
• Ability to document database standards and procedures.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC every Tuesday.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical requests from end users for data platforms.
• Analyze data to determine root causes of issues with urgency.
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments.
• Implement schemas, tables, views, and data objects per standards.
• Collaborate with support and development teams on data changes.
• Review and refine queries for scalability and efficiency.
• Migrate changes through test, stage, and production environments.
• Evaluate new SQL Server features and perform upgrades.
• Create and maintain database diagrams and operational docs.
