Job summary

EOA Technologies, LLC seeks an SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize SQL Server databases for a U.S. Government project. This full-time role emphasizes data integrity, security, and high availability in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, security management, and collaboration with developers and system admins to support mission-critical applications. On-site in Fort Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• IAT Level 2 Certification.
• Ten years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five years of additional system administration experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Monitor database performance using SSMS and optimize queries, indexes, and server configurations to resolve performance issues.
• Schedule and perform regular database backups, test and validate backup and restore procedures to ensure data recoverability.
• Manage user access and permissions, implementing and enforcing security policies to protect sensitive data.
• Work closely with developers and system administrators to design and implement databases, manage schema changes, and support business-critical applications.
• Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes, ensuring it is up-to-date.
• Plan and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in case of data loss.

EOA Technologies is seeking a SQL Database Administrator on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.

• Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance using tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and optimize queries, indexes, and server configurations to resolve performance issues.
• Backup and Recovery: Schedule and perform regular database backups, test and validate backup and restore procedures to ensure data recoverability.
• User Access Management: Manage user access and permissions, implementing and enforcing security policies to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

• Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
