A technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (Advanced) for a fully remote W2 contract role, requiring a South Carolina resident. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA, expertise in database migrations, and strong skills in Backup & Restore, SSIS, and PowerShell scripting. Responsibilities include planning database migrations, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders. This position has a duration of 12 months with a high possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA.
• 1+ year experience migrating application databases between versions and platforms.
• 5+ years of Backup & Restore experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute database migrations (on-prem & cloud).
• Assess database readiness and develop migration strategies.
• Perform schema conversions and data transformations.
• Implement encryption, access controls, and auditing.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal security standards.
• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
