Job summary

Octave is seeking a Data Conversion Specialist with strong SQL Server expertise to design, develop, and execute data conversion from legacy records into Octave's OnCall Records system.

You will analyze data structures, write ETL scripts, validate data integrity, and collaborate with business analysts to ensure accurate transformations while maintaining audit trails and clear customer communications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SQL Server (T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Strong understanding of data conversion, migration, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Records Management systems and related data structures.
• Excellent customer communication skills and ability to manage expectations.
• Strong documentation skills for mapping and process workflows.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Mapping: Analyze legacy system data structures and map them to target system schemas.
• Script Development & Testing: Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server scripts for ETL; test runs and troubleshoot issues.
• Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Validate converted data and maintain audit trails for compliance.
• Customer Communication & Expectation Management: Update customers on progress and manage timelines.
