Job summary

Axos Bank offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program in San Diego, engaging interns with hands-on work in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. You will work with technical and business teams to understand requirements and gain experience in enterprise application development and low-code skills through a capstone project and leadership sessions.

Session options run May 25–August 13 or June 14–September 3, with opportunities to learn SQL, data integration, and data-quality

Qualifications

• Hands-on work with SQL stored procedures and functions.
• Data analysis and profiling to support development decisions.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, code and maintain new and existing SQL stored procedures and functions.
• Tune performance of procedures, tables and indexes.
• Troubleshoot and optimize databases with engineering peers.
• Review SQL code for compliance with coding standards and performance.
• Create SSIS packages for data transformation and transfer.
• Support data loads and ongoing database refreshes.
