Job summary

Stellent IT LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a SQL Data Engineer for a hybrid, W2 contract role. This project supports three high-priority data models used for Federal Regulatory Reporting, with modernization and optimization to boost operational excellence.

You will enhance and modernize data models, improve efficiency and reliability of data processes, develop automation, and work with SQL-based processing on cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL experience with data modeling and validation.
• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Experience with AI automation and automated testing.
• Hands-on TDD and data processing workflows.
• Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Modernize and optimize data models for Federal Regulatory Reporting.
• Improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of data processes.
• Develop automation to reduce manual effort and streamline operations.
• Analyze workflows and identify optimization opportunities.
• Work with SQL processing on cloud data platforms.
• Support data validation and testing throughout development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute automated testing strategies.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) where applicable.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver data solutions.
• Identify and resolve data quality, performance issues.
• Contribute to operational excellence across models.
• Explore and implement AI-driven automation opportunities.
