Jabil in Memphis, TN is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor supplier quality issues and coordinate corrective actions across programs. You will evaluate supplier performance and guide Receiving Inspection through inspection plans and methods.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. On-site at the Memphis facility, with opportunities to influence multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience working with suppliers and quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for commodity related quality and supplier issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of production critical supplier issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on Inspection Plans and Methods to Receiving Inspection Auditors.
• Maintain ongoing site supplier evaluation using data from Receiving Inspection, MRB, Customer Returns, SCAR database, and liaison with customer work cells.
• Report performance internally, to suppliers, and to customers when applicable.
• Interface with Corporate SQE for supplier audits.
• Document inspections per Inspection Plans in SAP.
• Drive supplier selection strategies for cross-program use and cost savings.
• Communicate any issues affecting product costs or manufacturability with affected departments.
• Adhere to safety, health rules, and security policy.
