Job summary

Apple – SQA Engineer – New York, USA is seeking a driven test engineer to validate Bluetooth headsets and embedded audio systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure top product quality.

The role involves creating test plans, automating tests, and identifying defects across hardware and software for AirPods products, with opportunities for growth and stock plans in Apple’s ecosystem.

Qualifications

QA abilities demonstrated across at least three full product cycles, from concept to shipment.
Experience shipping consumer-facing products is a plus.
Experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycles.
Experience testing embedded consumer electronics or mobile devices.
Ability to work with multi-functional and remote teams to achieve testing goals.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to lead and drive testing of tasks and capabilities.
Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Responsibilities

Use test strategies to validate Bluetooth headsets and underlying technologies.
Affirm key functions of one or more products and/or software updates.
Create and run tests to ensure the customer experience with Apple products.
Create test plans and be involved in the implementation of testing techniques and methodologies.
Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in automated, structured and exploratory testing.
Collaborate with teams to assist other groups to implement and test new capabilities, regress critical areas and drive issue resolution.
