Job summary

Akuna Capital in Illinois is seeking an SPX Floor Trader to join the Equity Indices team on the CBOE SPX pit. You will market-make options using our proprietary pricing and execution software on your trading tablet, with immediate impact on the team's P&L.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years market making options on the CBOE floor and SPX pit experience in the last 18 months; BS/MS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience market making options on the CBOE floor.
• SPX pit experience in the last 18 months required.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter ready to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Strong mathematical aptitude giving the ability to maximize trading opportunities in a high-pressure environment.
• Effective and efficient communication and superior interpersonal skills.
• Passion for problem-solving and finding creative solutions in an ever-changing market.

Responsibilities

• Make markets on options for brokers using Akuna’s proprietary pricing and execution software.
• Collaborate with the Equity Indices team to provide liquidity and competitive quotes.
• Learn and adapt to Akuna’s trading style from experienced traders; add value from day one.
